A surround is a tool that combines the richness of data to help manage risks before, during, and after a shipment. It will collect data throughout a package’s journey to monitor for ongoing risk. System AI will look out for Weather, Power Outage, Natural Disasters, Traffic, and special events. When a risk arises, Surround will trigger alerts with premium support options such as expedite and re-ice. Currently, Most carriers are reactive to the ongoing situation. The Surround is more predictive, proactive, and precise. We had the opportunity to take all the systems and bring them into one design. It was about giving visibility into different movements and adding layers of info to make the experience more robust.
